We support organizations that make positive change in the world.
With a rapidly growing internal team and trusted network of freelancers, our offices are located near Chicago. In four years we’ve completed nearly a thousand videos for over 75 clients everywhere from Albuquerque to Boston.
As a post house, we edit films and commercials with national reach.
In addition to our direct-to-client work, we are a post production studio that has edited hundreds of videos for other established film studios nationwide, ranging from TV ads to feature films with theatrical releases. Our team includes five Emmy-nominated editors who work on-site at professional edit bays. We pride ourselves on shaping stories with a special focus on music and intentional sound.

THE FOUNDER
Christian Surtz
Christian Surtz is an Emmy-winning filmmaker based in Chicago and started SurtzMedia in 2019. He has filmed & directed projects on four continents and 45 states, and has completed projects for brands such as T-Mobile and TD Bank. He received his BSJ from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, and values bringing an authentic, journalistic storytelling approach that reflects the good, true, and beautiful in the world - rather than creating the kind of artificial message too often seen in media today. He also coaches high school cross country, has three sisters, always has a stash of dried mango, and relishes long drives in the SurtzMediaMobile across the American west.
